Recreational dance classes at Beats Per Minute offer a fun and vibrant way to express yourself whilst staying active. We understand that not every student wants to dance for a profession, but ALL children LOVE music, movement and socialising.

 

Our experienced and highly qualified instructors create a welcoming environment for dancers of all levels and abilities, ensuring they feel comfortable and inspired. Recreational classes are the perfect place to start if you're looking for beginner classes or a more casual commitment. Not only are our recreational classes created and conducted by highly qualified educators, all classes are held in state of the art facilities, BPM boasts fully equipped aerial and acrobatic studios. Our aerial studio features 9 aerial points with all equipment meeting national safety standards. Our brand new tumbling studio features gymnastics sprung floor with incredible equipment to allow your acrobat to tumble, explore and develop strength and flexibility!

JAZZ

AGES 5+

Jazz classes form a strong technical base and teach important skills such as turning, leaping and kicking. These fundamentals are accelerated and refined as the dancer continues their journey to become a strong technical and stylistic artist.

RAD BALLET

AGES 5+

Learning the technique, discipline and strength that comes from ballet is essential to any aspiring dancer. Students follow the RAD syllabus and can take ballet examinations from Primary through to Grade 8 as well as the vocational grades from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2.

TAP

AGES 5+

Tap aids in teaching musicality and rhythm, as students progress throughout the grades they learn a wide variety of rhythms and styles assisting their timing, musicality and stylistic awareness over all genres.

AGES 6+

Lyrical builds on a strong classical foundation and is a flowing expressive style. Young children love dancing to popular songs such as Disney hits and learning to create different shapes and expressing emotion through movement.
