Ready Set Ballet at Beats Per Minute on the Sunshine Coast introduces the fundamentals of ballet in a half hour magical ballet lesson, students will learn the fundamentals of ballet through;

Music - They engage in specifically designed music that captures the beauty of classical ballet

​

Curriculum - They develop coordination, body awareness, strength and flexibility both through visual and auditory instruction

​

Mime - They explore creativity and gain confidence by going on a picnic with FREEZE and TWIRL, riding the tutu train and so much more.

 

Themed Dances - They learn the beautifully themed dances that have music prompts to support preschooler's playful participation.

 

Props - They have fun twirling with rainbow ribbons, swaying with feathers and popping bubbles. These resources support tactile awareness and strengthen fine motor coordination and control.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN OUR READY SET BALLET CLASSES

 

Ready Set Ballet is a half hour class of ballet. Students will start with a seated group exercise to introduce all students calmly into the class, this is essential especially for the quieter child or the child trialing and entering a new environment for the very first time! The children then do a range of dance steps such as pliés, tends, rises, skips, hops and gallops.  All of these elements are set with beautiful classical music designed with words specifically for preschoolers and some even have props which the students love!

All teachers are highly qualified and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching pre school aged students and are there to guide and nurture your child through their dance journey.

Regular and sustained participation in Ready Set Ballet classes help children to develop their confidence as they try new things, practice and consolidate existing skills and experience success and mastery all while learning the fundamentals of dance and having fun in a positive and nurturing environment!
